Dr Gajen Raveendran (Gaj) is a registered Specialist in Periodontics with the General Dental Council and is accredited by the European Federation of Periodontology. He is dedicated to providing evidence-based, patient-centred care in all aspects of gum health and dental implant treatment.
He graduated from Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, after which he completed his foundation training within the highly competitive South East London NHS Deanery. He then spent several years in general practice, gaining valuable experience before completing a postgraduate diploma in Clinical Implant Dentistry with Newcastle University.
Gaj went on to undertake a Master’s in Clinical Periodontology (MClinDent) at University College London while serving as a Specialty Registrar in the Periodontology Department at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). During this period, he was nominated for the Dean’s Research Prize for his clinical research.
He subsequently achieved Membership in Periodontics from both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, later being awarded a Surgical Fellowship at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. After completing his MClinDent, he returned to UCLH as a Specialty Doctor in Periodontology before moving into full-time private practice.
Gaj is proficient in the full spectrum of periodontal and implant treatments. This includes managing gum disease around both teeth and implants, offering non-surgical and surgical therapies, and providing advanced regenerative procedures. He also carries out soft tissue grafting, gum recession coverage procedures, the pinhole technique, and correction of gummy smiles.
